Hardwood Floor Care Basics
1. For preventative maintenance, use rugs by doorways and floor protectors under furniture legs
2. Mop or sweep dust, sand and dirt from your floors regularly
3. Protect floors from moisture in flowerpots with drainage holes; don’t allow them to rest directly on floors
4. Always clean your floors with a product made specifically for Hardwoods such as Bona or Bruce cleaner.
5. Keep the relative humidity between 35-55% year-round and the temperature between 65-80 degrees
6. Be aware that pet nails scratch hardwood floors
7. DO NOT USE- WET mops with soap and water, ammonia, furniture dust cleaners, Orange glow, Murphys oil, or Swiffer wet jet
